Jak można przeczytać w oficjalnych materiałach Atelier des Ors, Marie Salamange tworząc Iris Fauve inspirowała się boginią Iris, posłanniczką olimpijskich bogów. Ulubienica Hery, skrzydlata zwiastunka zanosiła im dobre wieści, zaś znakiem przebytej przez nią drogi był „szal Iris”, czyli tęcza, wielobarwna jak jej skrzydła.
Zainspirowana grecką boginią kompozycja jest doskonale elegancka. To bardzo miękka, aksamitna wręcz odsłona irysa, który na skórze rozwija się długo i niezwykle ciekawie, w świetnym towarzystwie drzewnego wetiweru. Oba składniki splatają się w harmonijny, zielono-„korzeniowy” (nie korzenny) duet, początkowo dość wytrawny, z czasem łagodniejący, nabierający ładnej kremowej gładkości i oczekiwanej pudrowej nuty. Bardzo stonowanej i wyrafinowanie wytwornej.
Iris Fauve jest jednocześnie irysem typowym i nietypowym. Typowym, bo pudrowym. Trudno wyobrazić sobie irysowy zapach bez tej nuty, choć w Iris Fauve ociąga się ona i nie pojawia od razu. Jak dama spragniona „wielkiego wejścia”. 😉
Wejście owo koniec końców następuje, choć jest – nietypowe. Dlaczego? Ponieważ pudrowy akord wybrzmiewa nieco odmiennie niż wszystkie inne. Jest elegantszy, bardziej wyważony, delikatniejszy. Nie przypomina klasycznego „zapachu pomadki”, a raczej lekki, ulotny aromat, jaki unosi się z pojemniczka z delikatnie perfumowanym pudrem ryżowym… Jednocześnie, przy całej swojej delikatności, irysowa nuta jest cały czas aksamitnie gładka i apetycznie „maślana”.
Finisz kompozycji zachwyca aromatycznym i słodkim ciepłem, który zawdzięcza nutom cynamonu i balsamicznym akordom czystka i mirry. Ziemista paczula idealnie dopełnia całości zapachu, puentując ciemną zielenią tę piękną, irysową opowieść.
